Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Corgi, the SEO data fetch service operated by Corgi SEO ("we", "us", "Corgi"). By using the service, you agree to these Terms. *paw shake.*

1. The service

Corgi is a hosted layer that, on your behalf, makes API calls against SEO data providers you have connected (such as Google Search Console, DataForSEO, Ahrefs, SerpAPI). Corgi formats those responses into Slack cards, CLI output, MCP tool calls, or web dashboard views.

Corgi also publishes a command-line tool ("the CLI"). The CLI is governed by its own license terms, provided separately; these Terms apply only to the hosted service.

2. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account, your provider credentials, and any actions taken through your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it current.

3. Plans and billing

Free plans are free of charge, subject to the daily limits stated on the pricing page. Premium and other paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually, by Stripe. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and no refunds are issued for partial periods unless required by law.

DataForSEO credits topped up through Corgi are non-refundable once consumed. Unused credits remain on your account for 12 months from the most recent top-up.

4. Provider credentials and BYOK

When you connect a provider account (Ahrefs, SerpAPI, DataForSEO with your own credentials, etc.), you remain solely responsible for that account, its terms of service, its billing, and its compliance with the provider's policies. Corgi makes calls on your behalf using your credentials; we do not warrant the provider's data, uptime, or pricing.

You confirm that the credentials you supply are yours, that you are authorized to use them, and that using them through Corgi does not violate the provider's terms.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Corgi to harass, defame, or harm any person.
• Use Corgi to violate any law or any provider's terms of service.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to Corgi infrastructure or other users' accounts.
• Reverse-engineer the hosted service.
• Use Corgi to scrape or download data at volumes incompatible with the connected provider's terms.
• Resell Corgi or repackage its outputs as a competing service.

6. Intellectual property

Corgi and the marketing site are owned by Corgi SEO. The CLI is provided under separate license terms. The data fetched on your behalf belongs to its respective providers and to you, in accordance with each provider's terms.

7. Disclaimer

Corgi is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data fetched from third-party providers will be accurate, complete, or current.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Corgi SEO and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising out of or related to your use of the service. Our aggregate liability for direct damages is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or USD 100 if the claim arises during the free tier.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Corgi SEO harmless against any claim arising from your misuse of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of a provider's terms while using Corgi.

10. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time from the dashboard. We may suspend or terminate your account for material breach of these Terms, abusive behavior, or non-payment. Upon termination, paid plans continue until the end of the billing period, after which credentials and personal data are purged in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be communicated to active customers at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Corgi SEO is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that jurisdiction.
